The Fred Stone Jazz Trio features Bass Piano and drums. Fred Stone on acoustic bass playing Standard Jazz tunes that were played by other instrumentation are now featured on the Acoustic Bass. The Face of the Bass is now up front of the band playing the melody and interacting with the rest of the trio along with some 'deep in the pocket 'basslines. "My interaction with my Trio comes from several influences: The Bill Evans Trio featuring Scott LaFaro and/or Eddie Gomz on Bass, Ray Brown with some early Oscar Petterson, Osacar Pettiford 's Bands, and Ahmad Jamal Trio featuring Israel Crosby".
